Let's learn the basic concepts of the Bhagavad Gita section by section. As the spirit soul leaves the physical body, the body begins to decompose. We call it, death. 📌 2. Death is not a bad event. It is a regenerative point for the soul on its journey. The soul should continue on its path of progression. 📌 3. Death is not an end for us. It is one of the several milestones in our journey. 📌 4. The real "I" is the soul and it has temporarily rented out a space called the body. 📌 5. Develop the mindset of a traveler, carry as little luggage as you need. You shouldn't feel overly entitled to people, things, and entities that you come across. 📌 6. Develop a mindset of being a tenant which is very different than that of a house owner. Where you have no emotional attachment and no sense of entitlement. The tenant knows that he will vacate the house one day. If we develop the tenant mindset, we may be able to handle many issues in life more comfortably. 📌 7. Wise people do not grieve for the living or the dead. 📌 8. Lord Krishna said, never was there a time when He did not exist nor all the living entities. Also, in the future, the individuality of the Lord and other living beings will continue eternally. 📌 9. Our individuality existed in the past, and our individuality will continue in the future; therefore there is no cause for lamentation. 📌 10. The Soul can not die and the physical body cannot live permanently, so there is no cause for lamentation. 📌 11. Krishna said the Soul will get another body in the next birth - either material or spiritual. Therefore, there is no cause for lamentation. 📌 12. At death, the soul moves into another body in a similar manner to how it continuously passes, in this body, from childhood to old age. A sober person is never deluded or bewildered by the change of bodies. 📌 13. The soul is the consciousness that is spread all over the body. Because the Soul departs at death, no amount of material administration can restore consciousness to the body. 📌 14. Lord Krishna said, you are not this body, you are an individual soul. Every living being is an individual soul. 2. The soul is neither born nor dies. The soul is different than this material body. Your body has taken birth, it will die one day but the real you which is the soul will never die. One which is never born will never die. 3. The soul is the Consciousness which is even higher than Intelligence. Without its presence, the body can not be active. The soul by nature is always active. 4. The soul is imperishable, indestructible, invisible, inconceivable, and immutable. Soul exists eternally, perpetually, and permanently. 5. The soul is more important than the body. The body is born and it's destined to die one day. The body is temporary, and the Soul is eternal. 6. Lord Krishna said, the soul accepts a new body just like a man puts on a new cloth. We do not sit in a corner and mourn for the old cloth. In this process of re-birth, the karmic actions and reactions of his past activities migrate to the next birth. 7. Mind and Senses of living beings are very strong and powerful. Thus the Soul engages in satisfying the mind and senses and becomes more and more trapped in the clutches of matter. In this way, there is no chance to come out of the process of birth and re-birth cycle. 8. At the time of death, according to the consciousness developed by the living being he (soul) gets the next body. 9. Lord the Super-soul is soul of all souls. Soul and the Super-soul both are present in every living being. The soul is the servitor (dasa) of the Supreme soul Krishna, the speaker of the Bhagavad Gita. 10. All living beings (Souls) are originally connected to Krishna and thus Krishna is conscious, but the consciousness is tainted and adulterated due to attachment with matter and bodily relationships. 11. Soul who forgets its relationship with Supersoul, suffers. 12. The soul must be occupied in work for Krishna, otherwise it will be engaged in activities dictated by illusory energy. 13. Self-realized souls working for Krishna are under no obligation to complete the Vedic responsibilities. 14. No matter what the starting point and the path is, the final destination for the soul's journey is to get liberation (total freedom from the clutches of worldly constraints and challenges including the cycle of birth and death). 15. The final destination of the soul's journey must be our focus. With such a shift in focus, many things in this life that appear to be urgent and important come down drastically. 16. The place from which one never returns is the supreme and ultimate destination. Lord Krishna said, all souls must try to return to his abode (dharma), which is the ultimate destination. ✅ Chant - Hare Krishna Maha Mantra.
